Hello, I’m Damian, and I currently serve as Chief Executive at the Singapore Food Agency (SFA).
Background & Key Achievements
My roles at SFA included Strategic & Corporate Planning, Policy, Industry Devt, and Intl Ops, covering domains from Electronics, Energy & Chemicals, Sustainability, AgriFood, Human Capital, Resource & Carbon.
In EDB, I had the opportunity to imbibe leadership lessons from many Chairmen and leaders, many of whom are giants of public sector leadership including two HCSes.
How Can I Help
My leadership style is transformational, underpinned by the practices of servant leadership (how can I help you and the team do your job better). I have been involved in major organisation transformation initiatives in EDB. I am enjoying my time now in SFA to transform the organisation to be future ready, ensuring strategic coherence and operational excellence.
I feel a key success factor of any organisation is a strong culture of empowerment, where officers own and feel responsible for their ideas, and believe in their ability to make a difference.
