Decided to join the Navy when I was young & somewhat rash, but something must’ve gone right as I stayed on for 26yrs. Blessed to still be able to serve in the public service for over 30yrs & counting. Always thankful to serendipitously have many great bosses who taught me how to be an effective & caring leader, & enjoy passing this on to anyone who wishes to learn something useful from my journey.
Background & Key Achievements
I was previously DS (Development & Regulation) at MCI (now MDDI), where I worked on the Online Safety Bill and helped setup the SG Digital Office. I am an ex-competitive sailor and naval officer, and did stints in HR, operations, policy-ops, strat planning, international defence policy, capability development and futures during my 26 years in MINDEF/SAF.
