Tan Sze Wee - Advisor, Temasek International

My career spans across the public sector, to private sector corporate MNC and also running a biotech start-up.  Was in MOH Health Admin in late 90s,  before leaving to  join Bristol-Myers Squibb’s Mead Johnson Nutritionals dealing with Infant and Adult Nutrition. For most of 2000s, lead a diagnostic biotech start-up Rockeby Biomed, experienced the whole journey of commercialising technology from bench to regulatory, manufacturing, marketing of infectious disease diagnostic test kits.

Exited the start-up in 2009 to return to public sector and contributed my experience in tech commercialisation with A*STAR. Had been in both the biomedical and engineering side of A*STAR., Now overseeing A*STAR’s Innovation and Enterprise Division (forming public private partnerships, industry joint labs, IP licensing, spin-outs) for A*STAR.

Along the way have also contributed to non-governmental organisations such as Singapore Medical Association, YMCA Orchard, CASE/Advertising Authority of Singapore. Now contributing to a new NGO empowering ADHD individuals (Unlocking ADHD), who support their development so that they can achieve their full potential in work and relationships.
