In my past X years in the Public Service, I’m proud of many things, ranging from small wins like a “good paper” comment from my PS to transformative changes like the PSLE review and establishment of the PSLP. Of course there are also many regrets, and I continue to struggle with worrying that I’m letting people down. I believe that’s what a truly fulfilling public sector career should look like—let us embrace the difficulties and failures as much as we celebrate the successes.
